Born and raised in Winnipeg, Brett studied theatre at both the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama. He is also a graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada. Brett has appeared in My Winnipeg (IFC/Buffalo Gals), Total Recall (Columbia Pictures), Suits (USA Network/NBC), Beauty and the Beast (CW/CBS), and Nikita (CW/WB). Notable Stage productions include Andromache (Necessary Angel), Sudden Death (Pyretic Productions), and The Whipping Man (Obsidian/Harold Green).
